Title:
Sub-Genre: Mystery
Characters:
- Man (antagonist)
- Dead bodies
- Victim 1
- Victim 2
Narrative Structure:
The scene starts with the man (antagonist) at the grave yard, where a
funeral is taking place. An establish is given, the lighting is high-key, as he
is outside. He pauses for a bit watching the funeral and walks off. The scene
is empty as the lighting is low-key. A straight cut is given to go to the
second setting. The antagonist opens the door and walks in to his house as a
girl is standing right behind him, which she's a ghost. A medium shot is shown
as he walks in to the house. A digestive and on screen sounds given but no
dialogue throughout the whole opening scene. A chair is lying on the floor a
panning shot is shown, there's blood all over the chair he picks the chair up and
puts it back into its place. As there are three dead bodies lying on the floor.
A close up is given while he walks up the stairs, the low-key lighting is still
seen in this scene. There are dead bodies around the stair case as well as he
walks up the stairs to his bedroom. The audience response will be asking why is
the dead bodies around and that why doesn't he see them lying down, as a
confusion will be created.
A straight cut is shown from the corridor into his bedroom he opens the
door, the lighting is carried on with low-key the setting is clear as he is the
only one that is I. The room. A medium shot is shown when he enters into the
room. He takes his jacket off and throws it on to his bed. There is a straight
cut as he walks towards his wardrobe he opens it to get a different leather
jacket as there is a close up shown when he's taking his jacket out. A
continuity of straight cut is carried on, as he closes the wardrobe, which in
the corner of the wardrobe there's a man which is tied up to a chair. The
antagonist turns and walks away from there guy to get out of the room. He turns
the light off and a ghost appears I. The room as she just stairs at the
antagonist, we do not know if she is a victim or an antagonist. He remembers
that he had forgot his phone in the other jackets pocket so he turns the light
back on a goes back in to get his phone, he goes back and turns the light back
off the girl is much closer to her this time, as he walks out and shuts the
door with his leg.
A straight cut is given from the bedroom to the corridor, as the lighting is
still low-key. The dead bodies are still lying down as he walks down passing
them, the camera shot will be using here is a medium from high angle. The sound
that is used is non-digestive as he walks down the corridor he gets his keys
from the table near the door and walks out, as a long shot from the staircase
is seen. A straight sit is used as he starts walking off. A long shot is used
as the girl is at the window watching him walk, which creeps the audiences a
bit. A panning shot is used from the girl to the antagonist as he walks down
the street into the public. As an response from the audience we get questioned
on why he doesn't see anything and we do, and that why is that girl is the only
one looking and is around the antagonist as if she's going to kill him. They
would want a response from us which then would make them want to watch the
film.
There is limited detail regarding your final idea, with limited ideas concerning cinematic and MES techniques.
