Planning: Pre-Producton Paperwork - Miss Begum

Introduction:

The pre-production paperwork is something that is needed as if something happens and someone comes up to us we will then be showing our papers say that we have permission for the thing that we are doing, these consists of a camera shot list, location release form, client release form, risk assessment, location recce and production schedule. These paperwork’s are very important as we have permission and understanding of the actions that we take, which they all may be a type of risk, as we know what they are. An example is if the police stops us while taking a video in the public may cause a situation as they could take our cameras from us, but as we have the paper works and the permission they then wouldn’t take it from us.

Production Schedule:
The production schedule is all about where the scene will be taking and around what time will need to be taking the opening scene. This will also show what is needed and who will need to be at that time and setting during the day. This will then need to be given to the everyone in the crew and cast member, to be fully aware on what is going on at the time, for example: time, location, members that need to be there, props and etc.
Location recce:
The location recce is all about where we will be taking the opening scene and that there is permission so we can take the opening scene at that point of setting. This will then be needed to given to each member that is involved with the filming process including the cast and the crew members.

Location Release Form:
This shows that we are aloud to take films with the camera at the location that we are as if we get stopped by the police and they ask for the camera to take it away from us we would show the form and then they would let us carry on taking it. This should be given to the council and to the company to show that the group is released to access to use the location that we will be filming in, on the understanding the terms and conditions of the rights.

Client Released Form:
This is to show that we are able to record every one as a character and able to post the video that we have taken on to YouTube to show that we have permission when they tell us that they don't want it to be posted. This will then be needed to be given to every character that will be playing in the opening scene as a permission.

Risk Assessment:

The risk assessment is also a legal document containing the analysis of locations that will be used in our making of the thriller opening risks that may occur identified and if so how the group plan to overcome these situations. The document also should be given to all the crew and cast members so the are aware of the potential risks and actions they will need to take if this does happen.

  1. Excellent work here. Good to see that you have gone through legal stages and created the relevant paperwork that is required to ensure the smooth running and safety of your production. This will now mean you and your group are ready to start filming. Make sure you have a copy of your folder with you whilst filming and everyone who needs a copy of the paperwork has one.

    To improve;
    -why has this planning been beneficial to you and your group?
