The micro-elements are very important as it contains variety of techniques, which will help with the filming. Cinematography is a micro-element as it contains a lot of information, which will help while filming, such as; camera shot, angles and movements of each scene that is taken, as it allows the audience to have a clear understanding on what is going on in each stage of the scene. A different micro-element is sound as this will help the audience to have a clear understanding on what will help the audience to have a clear understanding on what will be happening if the film isn't got to do with action.
Cinematography we have planned out to use in our thriller opening:
- Establishing Shot- We have decided that the first shot will be establishing shot in our opening scene. This shot will be used to show the audience what type of a character the main one is, as they will know this from the setting and from the costume which the antagonist will be wearing. The back scene will be clearly shown as the antagonist is walking, which they will see a funeral, as this will make them question who died and why doesn't the antagonist look upset as the others do.
- Medium Shot- To go on to the next scene we have used a medium shot, as this will show the audience that there isn't anything interesting to come up, which we surprise them with the protagonist at the back of the guy. We have used medium shot to make it more clear and understandable to the audience on what type of person the characters are, which we have used this shot in many other scenes.
- Close-up- we have decided that we should use close-up to make sure the audience is clear about what type of theme is used, as it makes the audience have a clear vision from it. From this shot there will be a lot of tension as they will see a dead bodies hand on the floor while the guy is walking up the stairs.
- High Angle- we have decided that we will use high angle shots as well in our opening to create the understanding on what type of characters there are, as we will have this shot used when the guy is walking up the stair case and the dead body is fully seen with the antagonist in the shot.this will create a surprising reaction from the audience as they watch the opening scene, which makes them question why the girl is dead and why the guy don't see the girl on the floor dead.
- Long shot- we have also decided that long shot will also be used in our thriller opening which will create a big reaction as we are going to use this shot when the guy turns the light off and the protagonist is seen at the back of the guy. This will give a clear vision of the two main characters in the opening scene, as we will see there figures from head to toe which makes it seem a bit creepy for the audience.
- Tilt shot- we will be using tilt shot also in our thriller opening. The scene that has the shot of the fact that what what can he tell her about it till the pass goes away and doesn't leave anything to the side
- what can he do to stop the from happening
- hen he cant not do this but can happen when they want it to happen
Basic planning here of the cinematography you plan to use.
